Today was a strange day. I had to admit that was my first Red Weather Alert on national level.
So far, we got away with the worst of it I think. It is dark outside, the wind is howling and the rain is rattling on the roof but I believe here in Galway we got lucky.
Everything was closed in the village today except the two main food stores Keogh’s and Londis and we thank those brave people for staying open and saving us all from household emergencies like no more milk, cat food or cereal and eggs.. And of course, let’s not forget the necessary for the moral bottles of wine, beer and spirits!!
And now that the day is over we can only hope that tomorrow will be a better day.
